Random November and December

The last while has been so crazy. We got a call about 2 months ago saying we could have this place for a cheaper rent and it is closer to school....so we packed up, found renters for the old place, cleaned and cleaned, had some mishaps, and now we are offically moved. It has been really awesome to be out of basements and actually have WINDOWS you can SEE out of. (Actually we have 12 and I love it!!!! So do the kids.) Still have a little more unpacking to do, but we are pretty much settled. Last week Danny got called into the Branch Presidency as 2nd Counsler and me as 1st Counsler in the Young Women's Presidency.

Our First Meal in the new place: Pasta with Red Sauce and Juice
Definetely going to need a bath

Just got out of the bath from eating pasta. Lydia's face cracks me up every time I see this picture. Then of course Doctor Joe. Hilarious!

Joey's handy work at Grandma Z's house:

A couple weekends ago during Thanksgiving, while visiting Grandma and Grandpa Z, Joey was being too quiet so I went to investigate. When I got into the master bathroom I discovered Joey and all Grandma's drink cups lined up along the tub along with some in the tub. He was very proud.

DECEMBER
Lately we have been really enjoying going to the mall and playing with our friend Ethan and his mommy every Monday and Thursday morning. Joey and Lydia both love going there and it is great for them to have a chance to play with so many kids.

Winnie the Pooh had to come with us one time too. He rode on Joey's shoulders and even got to go down the slide and have a snack.

Attempting to get some curl

This is the first atempt at making Lydia's hair curly....done during Thanksgiving weekend with her Grandma Prigmore. So cute, but still need to get it figured out.

My Recent Rescue from the DI.....much to Danny's dismay. I just figured my sister Laura would need something to put her clothes in.....and I don't mind using it once she is gone. Pull my leg.

This is after I cleaned off all the coloring and stickers. Must have been in a little girl's room. For now it is staying as is until I can decide what to change it to.

Burst my heart! Joey and Lydia are watching a show together.

Joey is so cute with Lydia...always mindful and watching out for her. Today while playing at the mall, another little boy was picking on her and trying to take the stroller she was pushing. Joey came out of noware and socked the kid. He got put in time-out of course but I was a proud momma. I will have to watch out for him.

My 2 Goofballs

Both of my crazy children are doing so many new things each day.

Lydia is starting to talk, and she just has the cutest little voice. I love it when she says "Thank you". She is very smart and independant. She loves when it is time to brush her teeth and loves being in the bathroom with me while I am getting ready.

Joey has hit a whole new energy level, but is good at just sitting with me on the couch, watching a show, and being quiet. He enjoys dressing himself and helping me cook and cleaning the dishes with Daddy. He wrestles now, which makes his dad very happy.

They both love to play outside and they love to wear their star hats. The hats cover their eyes, so we play lots of peek-a-boo. Two totally different and cute personalities. They keep me laughing.

Labor Day Week *September 1 - 7*

September 1st-Joey decided he wanted to go swimming with his clothes on.

September 2nd-At the Zabriskie Swimming Pool. Grandma Z got in the Pool TOO!

September 4th-Nat Soo Pah Hot Springs

There was a water slide the Skye, Joey, and Lydia all went down with assorted Aunts and Uncles and of course Grandpa. Joey's favorite to go down with was Josh because they would go really fast! Joey also wanted to go off the diving board and would scream right before jumping off. Skye was scared of the diving board but did go off once. Lydia and Maddox loved hanging in the hottub and splashing.

September 5th-The Fair

Lots of animals to see and yummy food to eat. Danny and Lydia stayed home for the first few hours so that Danny could get some homework done and Lydia could sleep (she was up crying all night the night before with an upset tummy). Both Skye and Joey even rode the little ponies.

September 6th-Bye Brit and Maddox! Playing at the Park

The kids had so much fun sliding and swinging and just enjoying playing together. Lydia wanted to explore all the playground on her own, but when she got to the top....she couldn't quite figure out how and if she wanted to go down. Skye saved the day; when he saw her hesitation and just picked her up and they went down together. After that they were frequent sliders together. Cyrie and Lydia both loved swinging and Skye had fun pushing them. Joey hung out at the bottom of the slides...filling them with wood chips each time someone slide down and pushed them off. Everyone else played games and chatted. We had so much fun!

September 7th-We always hate to say good-bye.

Everyone met up at the Falls for Lunch and our final goodbyes. There was lots of oohs and ahhs or the falls...and sure enough; a grape fight between Lindz and Buck. Joey and Skye scaled the little rock wall and Lydia followed them around as they explored.
