Lydia's 1st Birthday

We decided to celebrate Lydia's birthday while we were in Idaho a couple weeks ago. I hadn't planned on it so it was kind of spur of the moment, but it all turned out great! Jill came with Grandma and Grandpa Prigmore (or Great for Lydia) and since her birthday is the day after Lydia's we sorta celebrated her's too. Jill and Lyida were buddies and stayed close to each other the whole time. Lydia didn't know what to make of having her own cupcake. At first she just poked her finger in the frosting, and gradually she became more and more estatic. Then ice cream entered the picture...a whole other level. Joey helped her blow out her candle...he was happy to do it.

After eating cake and ice cream, Lydia opended her presents. Joey and Skyelar were very helpful and Lydia wasn't too possesive until they were open and she finally had her OWN stuff. Although, the balloons were what held her attention. She got pajamas, outfits, shoes, a baby, shopping money, fluff tutu, cugely pillow (owl), purse (since she is always going through momma's), and stuff to put in her purse (necklaces and books). She also got some ring pops which Lydia, Skye, and Joey all enjoyed throughly.

Not so sure....but is really cute on .

This is the toy Lydia got from my family. She is VERY protective of it....especially when Daddy first got it put together. If Joey even looked at it she would freak out. About 2 days after walking with it (more dragging it behind her) she started walking. Fantastic!

While The Boys Were Away

One thing that we usually do when us girls gather is our hair! Lindz was the only one who didn't cut or color, but we will get a hold of her later on. She is letting here hair go longer and then plans to go short again....EXCITING! I completely LOVE my bangs. I haven't had them since I was like 10 or so.

The flowers I am holding in this picture are ones that Danny brought home with him from backpacking. I am a lucky woman in so many ways.
^
Brit cut her hair short and at an angle. She looks beautiful!! I think it really brings out her jaw and neck...very feminine.
^

We also do lots of eating...Cyrie fits right in! And with her Ooooo Face.

And of course: Playing outside in the water! These boys had water fights, popped bubbles, jumped on the tramp, and dived into the whale pool. They played hard and had such a good time.

Soon to come....Jill and Lydia's Birthday celebration!

Backpacking Hunks

The boys all sounded like they had a great time and are seriously talking about making it a yearly advent. I think that is a wonderful idea. All of our men work so hard...they deserve to have some fun! I am glad they all enjoyed themselves.

Danny -Someone said that Danny made a point to take a picture of everyone with a little fish. This one doesn't look bad to me, but I appreciate all the photos!

I guess everyone was making comments about Danny's lazy way of fishing. He does it all sitting...casting and all. Don't know how he does it.

So much craziness

The past few days have been more than intense and I guess exciting would be one way to look at it. Lots of adjusting with schooling and renting and deciding what is best for our family. We are still ironing out some wrinkles but things always work out.

In the meantime, alot of good things have been happening too. Danny went backpacking with his dad and brothers while us girls played the weekend away with the kids. It got a little crazy at times but we made it and we were all happy to have our men and daddies home. Lydia also turned ONE!!! So of course we had a little party for her and Aunt Jill, who's birthday is the next day. The 2 of them were quite the buddies. Lydia has also decided she can walk and is trying to do it all the time....so far 10 steps has been her biggest achievment before falling. Danny and I tried to get her to walk between us this evening, but she had other plans. She wanted to go off walking by herself. I love to watch her. I am trying to keep Joey included in it all...I think he is feeling left out, since Lydia is going through so many good new things...Big Steps...and Joey wants to be applauded too. He takes his turn walking between Danny and I and I try to applaude him for doing big boy things. Tonight, Joey did his first little tinkle in the toilet!!! First on the floor and towel but he had some saved for being a big boy. He got a special treat (Smartie) for doing so well. PROGRESS! Also, I am trying to make sure Lydia doesn't take advantage of being the little sister...she has started throwing a fit if Joey even looks at her. Ridiculous!

Lots of excitement! And lots of pictures that need to be posted...I just can't seem to keep up. My plan is to do several posts for each little/big thing over the last week. Wish me luck!
