November at a Glimpse

My Hero!!

Whenever Joey is wearing his costume, he pulls up his mask a bit, revealing his little lips and insists that I give him a kiss. Oh dear.

The week before Thanksgiving the kids and I flew to Denver. Daniel and Spencer, my bros, were in their school musical "Beauty and the Beast". Being Daniel's senior year, I couldn't stand to miss it. While there we did all kinds of fun things. One day we went to the Butterfly Pavilion. Tons of bugs and you get to hold a giant Spider! Exciting I know!....(well maybe just for bug lovers like me. Joey and Lydia would agree with me). Then you go into one huge sun room that is filled with plants and BUTTERFLIES. So many different kinds! I haven't been there since elementary school. It was awesome!

Joey and Grandma went to check this guy out and Joey said "Hey look! A Hercules Beetle!" For a minute Grandma thought Joey could read. Hilarious. Nope, Joey just thinks Hercules Beetles are cool. He has a book with them in there. Needless to say I was impressed that he remembered and very proud.

Petting sea creatures....being VERY soft.

This one was cooling off on the ground...perfect eyesight level

Lots of Beautiful Flowers

While in the Butterfly Room, they had a butterfly show, telling about the different butterflies that had come from different places around the world. Countries send the cocoons to the Pavilion where they hatch and at the show release them for their first flight. Some took off right away. Some needed to warm-up a bit...landing on different people or leaves.

Joey called this one Nemo

This beauty hung out with me until we needed to leave. Loved it.

You can see that truly I am nervous...hence clenched hands.

One afternoon, the kids and I decided to go to my highshcool to visit Uncle Daniel and Spencer and also to see Mr. Rieman my old History teacher....nearly failed his class, but still a good friend as a person. (I never did very well in History). It was fun to see him and of course Joey and Lydia stole the show all over the school. Their uncles were so proud to show them off.

On Wednesday, Daniel and Spencer had their musical Dress Rehearsal during school (preforming for a nearby middle school) and therefore didn't have to stay late after school. So nice to have them home for one evening. Joey and Lydia were super excited. We decided to go to JumpStreet which is one huge gym full of tramps all connected. They even had a tots area with a huge shark slide. We all had a lot of fun.

One of my favorites

At Beauty and the Beast Thursday Night
Gaston * Lafou (Daniel) * Insane Asylum Guy

Daniel was hilarious...stole the show really. He played Lafou, Gaston's little side kick. I am so glad I was able to go. I went on Thursday night with dad and then again on Saturday with all the family.

Spencer and some of his friends
Spencer was a cork screw in the Beast's palace. He was fun to watch as well, being my first time seeing him on the stage. He had some great dance and fighting moves.

My Goofy Brothers

So some sad news...the rest of November is nowhere to be found. Pics from going to the musical on Saturday Night with Laura, David, and Jaci and also pics from Thanksgiving in Utah....amongst others. So, so sad. If they ever show I will post them.
